Storage Instructions
The open package of air-dry clay should be stored in an airtight manner away from air and heat. To keep unused clay fresh for months, you can wrap it in a damp sheet, secured in an airtight bag, and place it in the fridge.
How to use?
Knead the clay by adding a bit water to it. Continue thoroughly and add more water as needed. Clay is ready to be worked when no cracks are formed.
Take small pieces of clay and add as you go along. You may notice some parts are starting to dry after working on it for while, in this case you can slightly moisten the clay.
If you want to add one element to another already dry, moisten the surface before placing the second part or use our Darwi super strong acrylic adhesive to weld two dry elements.
If working the clay on a porous material, be sure to coat the material with water first.
Let your completed sculpture dry and rest on paper towels. If you do not have paper towels, be sure to turn the creation so that the base can dry too.
Allow 24 hours for the clay to completely dry, (can vary depending on the humidity). Cracks may appear if you try to speed up the drying time.
Once dry, decorate the sculpture with acrylic paints and varnishes.
